Bookkeeping is mechanical. Judgment isn’t.
xBav.ai exists to hand the mechanical part — extraction, coding, reconciliation, the month-end grind — to AI, so the people who understand the numbers can spend their time on what they mean.
Born from too many nights of manual data entry
xBav.ai started in 2024 with a simple observation from inside the profession: most of a bookkeeper’s month goes to moving data from one document into another system — work that is repetitive, error-prone, and entirely automatable.
Modern AI can finally read a bank statement, a loan document, or a settlement sheet the way a trained accountant does. So we built the pipeline around that: documents in, categorized and reconciled entries out, with a human approving anything the AI isn’t sure about.
We’re a small, product-obsessed team. No sprawling org chart, no feature checklists written by committee — just the software we always wished existed at month-end.
Principles we actually follow
These aren't poster values. They're constraints you can see in the product.
AI drafts, you decide
The AI never invents an account and never sneaks past your review. Uncertain picks go to a queue; adjusting entries land as drafts. Approval is the product, not a setting.
Nothing to hide
Every AI action is logged and traceable. If a transaction was coded by the model, you can see when, and change it. Auditability beats magic.
Depth over breadth
We do one pipeline — bank statement to closed period — exceptionally well, instead of shipping ten shallow modules. If a tool does something better, integrate with it.
Honest claims only
No inflated accuracy stats, no logo walls of integrations that don't exist. If a feature is coming soon, we say coming soon. You'll find that rule enforced across this site.
